Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a medium bowl, prepare the vanilla pudding according to the package instructions using the milk and vanilla extract. Mix until it's smooth and set aside.
In another large mixing bowl, combine the crushed vanilla wafers, flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Mix well.
Stir in the melted butter and buttermilk to the dry ingredients until combined, forming a smooth batter.
Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
Layer the sliced bananas evenly over the batter.
Spoon the prepared vanilla pudding over the bananas, ensuring she covers them completely.
Sprinkle extra crushed vanilla wafers on top to give it a crunchy texture.
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature, topped with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
